Vendor Relationship Management is the reciprocal of Customer Relationship Management.   30 years of Moore’s Law have given individuals access to knowledge and compute power greater than any company had 30  years ago. Because of this, the imbalance between buyers and sellers has lessened.

This has profound implications, too many to list here.

One is the fact that ordinary buyers can have automated agents working on their behalf to get the best deals.

Buyers can express their intentions to the web, and sellers will respond.

User-driven tools can allow each person to become a customized sales channel for purchase and intent. Buyers can even sell their preferences or promote a brand as an evangelist

Some of the user-driven tools provide ways to prove you are who you claim to be, and to have every claim you make be backed up with affirmation from trusted providers.
